Hello!

This my Blog, and here I write. I update when I am online most times. I may write a story, I may write a journal. I may write Thought of the Day. Today, I begin with a Thought.

A Yawn is a Silent Scream.

And now I shall write a story, or begin one at any rate.

It was dark, and cold, but none of this seemed to matter to Alana. She moved on, silently, through the dark labyrinth of side-streets and alleys.

As she turned a corner, a light illuminated the square the found herself in. There it was, the Cup. The cause of all her pain was within her reach, at last.

She began to move forward, but stopped after several paces. There was someone else here, she knew it. Him, she thought, struggling with her desire for revenge, and her yearning for victory. After several moments, she moved forward again.

Silently, a ball of flame soared at her, and she jumped back. Crouching down, she scanned the shadows. There. A Darker patch of Darkness, more Black than any of the surrounding area.

Alana flipped away, just as he shot another spurt of flame at her. She took a chance, unfurling her wings for flight, she lifted herself into the air as he again attempted to set her aflame.

She alighted on the ledge above him, summoning her strength for the strongest power she possessed, even that would only serve to distract him for a few minutes, give her time to get the Cup.

She dropped down, and the Power, the Light, surged throught her hands, through her arms, her body, her soul. When she had given all she had, she ran. She could hear his shrieks of pain, then they were gone.

He was right behind her, she was almost defenseless, she ran, desperate to reach her goal, he was catching up, he was at her heels, and there was only one thing left for her to do.

She unfurled her wings again, and, sending great gusts of wind around the square, took to flight. She threw herself at the Cup, grabbing its handle before she even set foot upon the ground.

Light enveloped the Square, and the shrieks of her adversary were the last thing Alana heard before unconsciousness claimed her.

This is just the start. Stay tuned for updates.
